Allband has activated its first coop member and hopes to have all of its current members turned-up by the end of December 2006!

The Michigan Public Service Commission granted Allband's petition to be declared an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier. This will allow Allband to receive federal universal service funds once service becomes available.

The USDA Rural Development Program has officially announced a loan for $8 million to fund the construction of Allband's fiber to the home network.

Allband has received an interim loan from the Rural Telephone Finance Cooperative (RTFC) to help fund the company’s preliminary construction phase.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted Allband’s petition for the necessary waivers to become an Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier and participate in requested regulatory processes.

December 2, 2004

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) has granted a permanent license to Allband to provide basic local exchange service in the Robbs Creek Exchange.

November 23, 2004

The Michigan Public Service Commission approves final license proceedings to provide basic local exchange services in the Robbs Creek Exchange.

October 7, 2004

The Rural Utility Service (RUS) grants Allband interim financing to build an all fiber, passive optical network in the Robbs Creek exchange.

August 31, 2004

The Michigan Public Service Commission grants Allband a temporary license to provide basic local exchange in a proposed new exchange called Robbs Creek. The service territory is 177.4 square miles and covers portions of Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency and Oscoda counties.
